Some friends and I are heading to Kissenger lake for some camping this weekend. Leaving noon Fri. and home Sunday afternoon. Anyone is welcome to join if they like or pop by during the day for a cold one, the lake is the size of a large puddle so finding us wont be hard providing you can find the lake. I'm wiling to bet we will be the only ones there because its November and all. :bang:

Ill have my M101 mounted RTT, Buddy has a camper on a Ford and there will be a couple ground tents scattered about as well.

Seeing as how we are all a bunch of firefighters the camp fire should be visible from anywhere south of Nanimo.... lol.

I know that lake, no ATV's allowed if I remember correctly. I'm on my way home; but won't make it in time.

Perhaps in the summer...... this time of year there isn't anyone around. Technically its a Timber West run campsite (I think) but no one will be there this time of year.

a tad underwarm for sleeping outdoors for my liking....

I'm having an aging ceremony/fire/pissup in the back yard tomorrow night, but maybe I'll head that way saturday for a bit if I'm not too hung over.

Happy aging ceremony!

I wont hold my breath..... Leaf sprung sixtys, bumpy roads and hangovers don't mix.

Well we survived. Had a great time to be honest. Didn't get any visitors though. On the way home, traveling the south side of Lake Cowichan we got passed by a LX450 that looked like it had seen some trail time. Thats really it for cruiser news.

Glad you had a good time! Outta curiousity how cold was it getting out there? Was hitting -4C at my place. You must have a good sleeping bag to be comfortable in a tent.

We had a really good campfire going.... lots of wobbly pops as well. I didn't really notice how cold it was until I went to bed. I crawled into my sleeping bag and didn't really warm up. Luckily the :princess:'s sleeping bag was in the tent from our last adventure (The wife wasn't..... she sat this one out) so I double bagged it and was fine. 2nd night i scrounged a blanket to top it all off. It was by no means warm out.... puddles and dish water all had an inch of ice in the morning. I'd bet -4 give or take a bit.

Funny.... brings back memories of the Tugwell lake November camping trip a few years back, Dingo, Toshi, GSB, etc..... That was a cold one as well.

Haha defiantly was cold. That was quite the eventful trip.

The weekend before last I went up to tuck lake(30min past Kissinger or so) and it didn't even feel like November. Huge difference in temp over a week.
Side note, we actually had a visit from a CO/RCMP combo. I think they were looking for someone specific, but it was a little surprising seeing them all the way out there. Luckily we weren't doing anything too stupid at the time :hillbilly:
