It never gets cold enough in Reno to not be able to start a gas truck with a good battery

Chicago.. The double old school coleman white gas stoves can be run on propane with a adapter. And they can run off of white gas or gasoline in a crunch. The adapters work great and are easy.

I just got a single (and another double burner) dual fuel coleman stove off of craigslist for $30 for the pair. I'm going to leave the single burner in the 60 as a "incase"

Make Rusty go yard saleing for you to find one for $5 :)

Lol!!!
Dude is amazing at finding those deals!!!
I might try out that REI propane w/ 20k btu per burner.
Been talking w/ some folks about packing (which is my biggest concern) and a LOT of people use duffle bags. That's something I might try in lieu of boxes as you can get more space out of em.
Need a stove w/ in the next couple weeks though.

Just leave behind the stuff you dont need. It's amazing how much stuff is considered necessary for camping now a days :)

Hahahaha!!!!!
Okay... There are TWO sides to that coin...
One, is what I NEED and the other is what my WIFE NEEDS!!!!

Went to REI... Looked at all the different stoves...
Ended up getting the Coleman two burner. It was small and compact (enough) and reasonably priced.
Well see how it works.

You'll be happy, 1000's maybe 1000000's have.

Thank man!
I took a hard look at the jet boils and whisper lites.... Just not at all practical for what I need and EXTREMELY cost prohibitive. OUCH!!

You got the two burner propane coleman? I've had one since the 80's and have cooked outside a lot on it. It's a great stove.

The whisperlites and Jet boils are neat if you are being very conscious about space. They are not nearly as nice to cook with tho..

I use a backpacking stove also, my trusty old Svea 123 (it's older than the 40 and I bought it new). Can only carry two people in the 40 anyway, so a small stove is fine. The stove, fuel, a JetBoil cup and pan, all eating utensils, clean-up soap, and a week's worth of dehydrated food will all fit in a small Action Packer with room to spare. Supplemented with fresh food in a small cooler or fridge.

Edited to add a photo of it an action, on the mesa above Dark Canyon or Mule Canyon in southern Utah. Yeah, it's kind of hard to see the stove because it is so small. You can see the action packer that holds everything though.

Svea 123 in a Sigg tourist cook set is a great old school pimpin camp set.

I need to get my fathers from him.
