Camburg Control Arm Issue

I'm currently running 34's with 1 inch spacers with SPC upper control arms.
I purchased the Camburg upper control arms as a replacement and my mechanic said that it won't fit and there would be a lot of hitting/knocking. I already have the body mount chop, fender trimmed, and bumper slightly trimmed as well. He said it would require A LOT more cutting and manipulation. 🤷‍♂️ Or downsize my tire to a 285/70/17 like the instructions specify but I'm not doing that.
Is anyone running this exact control arm? And if so, what size tire are you on and who did the work. What other control arms are perfect for 35's with 1 inch spacers that are proven to fit?
I'm in L.A./OC County in SoCal.

Yes I’ve been running these since 2019. I currently run 35’s (305/70R18) zero offset wheels with 1.25 spacer. I have the DRT body mount, fender and bumper trimmed.
His concern is likely they set your castor back and the tire will rub. With this UCA adjusted forward, I still get a little rub on the back of my passenger fender.
 
What year is your GX? Who did the installation? I'm assuming you're in SoCal.
Do you have more pictures with your tires mounted that shows the clearance and where you trimmed your bumper?
And regarding the caster... can an alignment shop adjust it so it doesn't rub? Or is it going to rub regardless with this particular control arm?

Here is a side photo. The front is trimmed maybe an inch or so, the rear is trimmed back as far as I could go. The installation was done by myself and a Toyota tech. The rubbing is going to depend on your setup. Wheel size/offset plus your spacers. Plus all vehicles are a little different. Adjusting the UCAs do require dismounting them to adjust, so paying someone could be costly. I adjusted mine a couple times before I got them where I want them. You may need to find someone who is familiar with off-road alignments.
 
Seems you just added a lot more caster.....more than you probably need. That pushes the wheel back in the wheel well. I assume you would want to adjust the rearward joint out, and I guess the forward one should stay if you have the recommended 3 threads showing. That would move your tire forward, so long as your LCAs can make up for the toe that move will also add.

Unfortunately costly, is the last thing I need right now. Paying someone to take them on/off constantly to adjust them and get the alignment dialed in is more than I can bear right now. My mechanic mentioned other options as well, but it would also be costly. And he works on jeep, landcruiser, and GX builds all the time. 🤷‍♂️
I really wanted the camburg uca's because I've heard such good things.

Anyone know any taco/4runner guys that need camburg uca's lol (NIB)

They specialize in off road and have done suspension work on our old 100 series Hundy's and my GX. They know about how to set castor to minimize or avoid rubbing, etc.
Give them a call if your around central/south Orange County.

34s are a big tire on a GX and 1" spacers will give you a really big scrub radius (assuming you are on aftermarket zero-offset wheels), pushing the tire into the body mount/fender area. 35s are just going to make the problem worse. From having worked on my GX quite a bit, I don't see how 34"+ tire/spacer setup would ever really be able to fit without doing a lot of plastic and potentially metal trimming in the wheelwell/firewall area.

Personally I would suggest omitting the wheel spacers first. They don't really help while wheeling, make tire fitment more challenging, make the rig harder to fit in tight spots when wheeling, and also cause additional wear on wheel bearings. Otherwise, you might need to consider a solution that moves the whole LCA forward (Coastal Offroad just released that system, others make it too). Or stick with 33s or a skinny tire for anything bigger.
