I have heard stories like your engine failing early. Point is mines at 255k. Also, i couldnt bring myself to just plop this 125k motor in my truck without touching it.
My motor still seems strong and doesnt leak or burn oil bad at all. I figured i might take the daunting task of rebuilding myself over the next few months...maybe that pushing it.
Nevertheless, i wouldnt drop this engine in w/o doing anything to it. If i cant rebuild it myself, i'll pay someone to do and atleast save a little money. If im able to rebuild this and swap it out with my old one i'm sure after Bjowett's build, one of you guys would love to get your hands on a cheap high mileage 1fz so you could build it up.
