Would be fine in a bj70 but the lj70 has completely different driveline and it's hard to convert
The transmission would need a different bellhousing and possibly a different input shaft, but that's pretty simple stuff. I believe it is possible to fit a 1HZ/HDT in the LJ engine bay, but it requires removing AC and getting a super slim radiator with electric fans. A 1PZ would probably fit really nicely. The drive line end would not be too bad, although I'm fairly sure that Prado R150 & 1HZ R150 gear boxes are not interchangeable at the motor end, it would all bolt up if you got the right parts. The bigger problem would be that the LJ & KZJ trucks have a shorter engine bay than the 6 cylinder cruisers, so it might be a tight fit length wise.
Cheers

I'm not looking at getting into s big conversion I'm simply asking whether or not a turboed 3l or 5l is any better than a 2lt
How about a 1#BT? 4 cylinder so should logistically be easier, direct injection so rid of the inherent heat problem and reasonable power potential
It would be much better, easier and cheaper without adding weight to the front end. But I would ask on some of the Australian forums for 1st hand advice.I'm not looking at getting into s big conversion I'm simply asking whether or not a turboed 3l or 5l is any better than a 2lt
