Bull bar ?

If you really want a bull bar or stinger, there are vendors who sell them. Rock Defense with Stinger

It may have some effective use. but I haven't discovered it yet.

They are called brush guards for a reason...they guard against brushes...and little saplings. In general, they are much more affordable than a steel bumper replacement, look cool, but provide little protection. Yes, you hear about folks with brush guards that hit deer and nothing happened. That was not my cousin's case. While the brush guard and the bumper looked fine, the attachment points and bolts were bent and mangled; he ended up removing everything and installed an ARB.

If you want brush guard, I'd try to get one that looks the best, and don't crash!

But if you're going to spend $600 or so, I'd rather get a TJM T17 like this: Slee - Toyota 80 Series Land Cruiser - TJM T17 Front Bumper

If you're willing up to spend $1K, look to a TJM T15 or an ARB deluxe. All of those will offer better protection than a stock bumper + brush guard.

At the end, it's your rig. You should purchase what you want based off your needs and budget.
