I'm planning to remove that winch/bumper.. I was planning to sell it to the local junk yard or something like that.. I would tell you to make an offer but I know shipping to the US would probably be outrageous!

Air freight would probably be more expensive than the bumper+winch.. sea freight shouldn't be too expensive through an agent with one of those shared container type deals.. if you're really interested PM me and I'll see if I can have it worked out after the OEM bumber is removed..

there's even more options here but you'd have to special order the car from the agent here which takes more than 3 months.. I was impatient which I do regret now.. next time I'll try to be more patient..

*** Update ***
I've asked the guys at ARB dealer here to check with ARB Australia about this situation.. This is the reply they got from ARB Australia export team..
I'm not really convinced with ARB's reply.. the dealer here offered to give me my money back since I have already purchased the Bull bar but did not install it yet.. there must be a way to adjust the height control system or computer to cope with the added weight.. I have talked to Toyota's dealer here and they said it is not possible to adjust the computer of the height control system but they will look into it..
could anybody elaborate on this?

I am not convinced either for 3 reasons.
1. your Cruiser came with a OEM winch.......fitted at the factory, so that blows that ARB theory out the door
2. Christo has a winch on his Lexus.
3. ARB sells a winch bar for the Lexus

these are the same reasons I am not convinced.. but the problem is that the bull bar I purchased is the all metal deluxe bull bar.. which is considerably heavy.. the dealer here mentioned that the Sahara bar (the plastic one which is usually fitted to the Lexus) would be Ok on my LC..

Christo can correct me here, but if IIRC, the USA Lexus (and I assume all other actve control supsension systems) works like this:
The rear springs and front t-bars are a softer rate than their standard Land Cruiser suspension counterparts, so that when the ASC suspension is on it's 'low' setting, the vehicle is resting on it's springs alone. Whereas a vehicle with a normal suspension would rest more in the 'medium' setting.
ASC lifts the vehicle to it's standard 'medium' setting for driving.
I believe what Christo did is to replace the Lexus ASC springs with a standard Landcruiser T-bars up front and a set of 863 80 series OME springs in the rear. If you are not wanting to lift the vehicle, standard Cruiser springs in the rear would be better.
That way, at the 'medium' height, the vehicle will be resting on it's springs as well as the ASC system. You'd probably lose the 'low' height, though.

I was thinking of a way of disabling the automatic lift up from low mode when the vehicle is moving so I can park in parking lots with low ceilings.. especially when i have something on the loading bars.. losing the low mode kind off matters..
I was thinking even with stronger T-bars, ARB for example, wouldn't the ASC suffer from the stress on the long run?

After a lot of discussions with ARB dealer.. Emails between him and ARB Australia.. who in turn contacted ARB USA.. they don't recommend installing their Deluxe bull bar + winch on ASC equipped LCs..
however.. I'm going to install it anyway..
I'm going for the lighter 9500lb winch though which weighs around 36kg (80lb) instead of the heavier 12000lb @ about 62kg (136lb)
the bull bar is another 77kg (170lb) bringing the total to about 113KG (250lb).. I'm not planning to install ARB torsion bars or anything else.. everything else is stock..
should I go ahead with the setup?

I am pretty sure the ARB bull bar is not 250lbs, it more like 125lbs, at least all mine are, except the Sahara bar which is lighter yet

these are the numbers I got from ARB dealer over here.. 250lb is the total of the bull bar + 9500lb warn winch..

I would do it, but replace the torsion bars with ones from a regular suspension 100 series. You could try the OME ones as well, just make sure you adjust the suspension correctly.

Just took a look at the LC100 site in Japan at

They sell 2 grades (G-selection is the higher grade, VX-limited is the baseline 100, Cygnus is the same as the LX470 and differentiated from the LC100). The footnote 1 says that if you get the AHC, you CANNOT get the electric winch option, regardless if the engine is the V8 or TD, which, I believe, weighs a number of hundreds of pounds more than the V8. This might suggest that the AHC isn't designed to handle the extra weight?
