I like the way these wrap around the corners. They look OEM. The price is $118.06. Not sure of freight just yet. I plan to order a deflector soon. If anyone wants to add to the order and share the freight, please let me know.
yes, the shape of the LANDCRUISER text is very similar to the text on our now discontinued genuine ones we had in Australia, but a completely different shape deflector. Ours were made in Australia for the Australian market and distributed by Toyota Australia.

p.s Your link is sending me to the facebook group, but not the actual bonnet protector.

do you have a link?
With your wind deflector installed and operating at hwy speed (100 KPH or more, do you notice and vibration in your door mirrors?

I had a different truck many years ago and I stopped using wind deflectors because it was causing my mirrors to vibrate on the highway. It also caused a lot of wind noise in the truck.

my factory one broke, and I'm in the process of trying to replace it with something that resembles the original, but to answer your question, no.. you wouldnt have ever known it was on there. No difference installed vs not installed. I guess that will all come down to the design of the protector. The ones that dont have a lip sticking up and hug the body will be less prone to wind drag and vibration.

Now I went down a rabbit hole for a bit....

Lots of places claim they make them, then don't.

This one claims it does. I have no affiliation or reference other than Google Search.

we have some great aftermarket options in Australia in both clear and tinted. Given the strength of the US dollar, it may be worthwhile purchasing from here and having it shipped over in small batches.

Click through the pictures and it will eventally come up.

I'm still kicking myself for tossing a intact OEM one years ago. The AVS ones had poor reviews and required drilling. I think they also looked a bit goofy. $60 before they were discontinued, though.

Had no clue well made deflectors for our 80s. Had their visors on a LS430 I used to own, good quality. Just ordered, will report back on fit and finish. The hood chips I filled in a couple years ago are chipping again.

couldnt find it unfortunately, even tried search terms but nothing. Anyway, doesn't matter.

edit: used chatgpt to find the username from the URL and then searched for them manually and found the post. Actual URL is:

I'd be cautious buying from this guy, not because I know them, but there are SO many scam sellers on cruiser facebook groups.

The Indonesian seller will be listing the deflectors on Ebay. He plans to send me the link. I'll post it here when I recieve it.
I had a good look.. I don't love the style personally, but certainly will give decent coverage/protection.

Got the well visor one in. Easy install, they have plugs that pop into the 3 existing hood holes. Then there's 2 clips at each end to hold down the outer edges. I was surprised to see it's made in new zealand.

Sorry this took so long... top is genuine toyota here in Aus, but long discontinued.

Bottom is easy to find here from multiple distributors, but I believe may be manufactured by Protective Plastics. OCAM also made some very similar in clear and tinted. The difference is the way the top of the protector lips up. I will post a video below to show what I mean.

Sorry, I don't have any images of the one with the lip fitted, as I haven't fitted it, and didn't have anyone that could take a picture while I held it on temporarily. Either way, you get the idea.
