Hmm. And yours fit into approximately the same location as the picture from Budbuilt below?

That’s where mine went as the seam on the frame fit the cutout in the crossmember.

Everything lined up, however, getting the bolt to start through the fuel line bracket was a PITA.

Yes. That looks similar to the instructions they sent me. I don't remember having to do step 2 in your pic. I believe that is just for T4R's.

When I met Bud at Jambo I told him they needed a full set of instructions for the 460 instead of this pieced together bull**** from T4R's.

I can’t find the instructions I had. Some were sent with the skids and some I had to get Bud to email to me. I don’t remember which I had for the cross member. But here are some pics. With the skids all mounted it’s hard to get good pics without a lift.

Hope those help.

Thanks for confirming. I'm gonna crawl under there one more time tonight to make sure we didn't get into analysis-paralysis mode on Saturday but it does appear my crossbar is well beyond "persuasion hammer" width.

@Bang Bang fully agree about the instructions. It's not (or shouldn't be) that complicated of an install since it's really just lining things up with existing holes. But for those of us who haven't designed or installed lots of skidplates on lots of Toyota frames, there are a lot of holes and having a 1 pager to confirm you're lined up correctly and unbolting the correct bracket would be nice.

I think that one of the more confusing things with the cross member install are the bent pieces of metal with the nuts on the end. There is one hole on each side of the truck (in the frame rails) that are not threaded. You have to feed the nut in from above so you can bolt it in. You can see them in my pics. The metal tab just stays in there.

Passenger side is lower right bolt.

Driver side is lower left.

For those of you with the oil plug hole option for the mid plate- what is the diameter of the hole? I have a fumoto valve- curious if I can still reach it.
