Great pics Cole, gotta say that pic of the Nissan pulling you out qualifies for the thread of shame :D Great to see those Taco's out there look be some nice ones, you guys do any recruiting out there?

Hmmm on the thread I looked to give an update earlier too  I spoke to Brian this morning and gave him your number Cole I'm glad to see you both made it thats great. Talked to Brian on his way home and he sounded like he enjoyed the trail. I don't remember that spot your in Cole but it sure looks like a good hole to get stuck in  Looking forward to seeing more of the pics sounded like between the both of you there were plenty pics.
You know, i checked my phone later that morning and had a missed call and i didnt recognize the area code...must have been him. the hole i was stuck in was John's Hill...the hill where we slid down on the side against that tree and the one were Marty (i think it was him???) got yanked out as well. instead of going down the side, i went straight, which was just woods during the Expo.

and talked to them a little bit, but forgot to talk to thim about the club :( i dropped the ball on that one

edit: oh, and i pulled out the nissan once, and 2 jeeps at once (actually, 1 was stuck, but 1 jeep couldnt pull it out, so i jumped in front and gave a good yank)

Oh, I remember that well....I remember thinking of going straight instead of turning...it was mostly vines and really small bushes/saplings...

the pic of the nissan truck going down hill is where we went down for the Expo, i am in the ditch 25 feet or so to the left (the truck's right). but they did clear out if you were to go straight from the side. so remember how we had to turn and cross the wash at the angle? well now you can go straight, which was a lot easier

as for the video of the twofer yank, i dont know. i was busying driving. there were 15 people standing around watching, i hope someone at least got one picture :bounce:

Thats awesome Cole, I'll have to dig in the LA4x4 forum for the pics of the 40 doing some retrieving. Actually Marty, Will, Josh and the trail boss at the end of the line needed a strap through that crossing. I would have thought it would have dried up alot more with all this heat. The Pintle hitch looks great bud. :)

We'll have to catch Brian up on "SOCKS" :D

I got roped into a card game when I got home so I'm just getting to the pictures now. I couldn't get a picture of Cole and the 2 jeeps in the same frame, but I do have one of him with a strap coming off his back and then one of the two jeeps.

It was great meeting Cole. I followed him through everything but the hole he got stuck in. He spotted for me in alot of the turns. I really didn't have many problems other than tight turns on the trail because the FJC is kinda wide. Got plenty of scratches that will probably not show up too badly. I will get over it eventually... beer seems to dull the pain so far.

I wish I had taken some time to figure out the locker before I went out today. That damn sand berm got me when everyone was around. We went back at the end of the day and I went up it with ease 3x once I got the locker going. Of course only me and Cole were there at the time!!

I guess I need to make it to some work days so I can cut some damn trees down. That really was the only stressful part of the day. I was resigned to the scratches, but the tight turns had me expecting body damage at every one. Luckily I came out with no dents, and I have to thank Cole for alot of missed opportunites at those.

My son had a great time too. He did a great job of watching my passenger side on the tight areas.

When I showed up today with a brand new truck, 500 miles on the odometer, and temp tags.... I realized that I might seem a tad foolish. But after all was said and done, any amount of scratches are worth getting me and my son out together and away from TV and video games and all the other pointless crap.

Now if I can just keep avoiding dents....I think a bumper is in order....

Props to you bud for getting out there and using it for what its built for. The tires look good and was probably the best mod you could have done for the trails. I look forward to running the trails with you soon. Coles a good guy to have around I'm glad you had good company. Most of the LA4X4 folks are good people as well. Always positve hanging out with them. They do for some reason cut the trails pretty narrow, we'll have to fix that at Sicily in a couple areas too. I'm all about keeping as much nature as you can but sometimes it just don't make since in some of the cases I've seen. Look forward to seeing your pics as well. :)

Cole pulling the two guys. Couldn't get them all in the same frame.

Thanks, Yeah I'm really glad I broke down and got the tires. Thanks to tabasco for planting the seed of the yokohamas. They seemed to work great and rode better on the highway than the stockers, with just a bit more noise. Really unnoticable noise actually.

I admit the thought of buying a 40 crossed my mind today, but then it would kinda be a waste of a good machine if I didn't do stuff with this one. My experience is really limited to mudriding in fields and just some beaches. When I first saw the inclines today I was wondering if I could make them but it just went right up.

Maybe Cole can chime in here, but there was one hole where I kinda dug awhile before getting through. They already had about 6 trucks that had gone before me, and I know a couple had problems. The guy behind me had to hook onto my bumper and winch out and after that he said I had dug the hole too much.... Not sure if I actually did anything wrong or if he was just annoyed at getting stuck.

nah, i think he was just a little annoyed. if he was the 8th person behind anyone in that hole he would have had a hard time.

Are you using another browser Armond, the site has problems with other browsers but it should be straight in Explorer. Working on straightening that out. :)

Yep. Here at home I use Mozilla Firefox. That explains it! I need to submit a new pic anyway. As most of you know, my rig looks totally different now with the OEM rims and BFG Mt's and the top off.
