IMHO any radiator past 10 years that needs repair needs to be replaced they B rotten ya just pissin $$$ away

That came to mind As well I bought two from the radiator barn for the 67 and 78 and called it a day these are laying around and thought of using them. Maybe go new with Dad and use one of the others on the trail rig.

he is a jeep guy so naturally he feels that the "flagship" of the sport is a jeep. He mentioned this fact a few times on the phone. I don't think it's because he is a Toyota hater but just because he is a jeep guy.

Well it is not just him. Ask the average person on the street what the best offroader is and depending if you ask a redneck or a regular person I would bet 90%of them would either say a Z71 or a Jeep. The Z71 because the some people that own them think that a sticker package makes them invincible (atleast thats what the comment on my offroading videos and my little brother makes me think), and the Jeep because most likely everyone has a grandfather/uncle/cousin that owned one and talked it up plus Jeep has done some very good marketing. outside of some of the Toyota trail team ads in off road magazines I really cant think of any bragging toyota has done on their offroad ability.

It is like people with low self esteem say: if you hear something enough you start to believe it. Jeep has just said it enough that people believe it alot.

Sorry guys. I didn't mean this to be a debate. It was supposed to be just a comment then about the rest of the event. Sorry

No need to be sorry debates are healthy but I don't see our comments as a debate :)

I agree Larry. Debates are healthy and there's no real debate here.....more like s statement of facts.

thanks every one for the bday wishes i cant wait to get dirty i have the itch bad i been working my tail off working night in the wild west side of nw iberia , ( the dark side ) ,,, but see yall soon! yall having too much fun with !

Do you want one to charter or use yourself? A fresh water or salt water vessel? Will you be going offshore if it's saltwater?

No charter this trip looking to use one myself, we're going to be doing some freshwater fishing in Pecan Island so no offshore stuff small canals and bayous only :) I called McGee's in Henderson but they only rent by the day I'm looking to pick it up on Friday and return it on Monday morning :)

don`t know of any might ask sparky :)

kinda doubt rental do to liability issues:bang:

Yea I can certainly see the liability issue but I figured there might be some kinda insurance they can make some money with for that  Oh well not a biggie I heard a wisper from another Scout's Dad about renting one from McGee's for a good price and thought there might be others out there as well. I think we'll have enough but one more wouldn't hurt actually I'd be content with renting a canoe from Pack & Paddle but I can't row fast enough to keep that breeze Rebecca is looking for :D  Thanks for keeping an eye open :)

When you get the latest copy of the Trails magazine, check out page 34. Hachi has been immortalized. :D Unfortunately, if you read the article, they got it wrong. They say, "On Friday morning, a few light showers moved through...." which I thought was really funny. Maybe if you lived in a rain forest you might think those were light showers. And the caption under Hachi's picture says that it took place on Sunday......wrong.......that was Saturday. On Sunday I was headed back home. I guess they don't do a lot of fact checking before they print these stories. :hhmm:
