Anybody going to SI this weekend have a power steering pump for a FJ60 / 62? There is a guy on LA4X4 who just got the rig not long ago and apparently he busted his and is in need. If you have one, please call or text Scott at 985-778-3633 or Colin at 850-543-4620.

Have fun and take a few pics for us.

Gotcha thanks John, y'all have a good day as well bud. Cheers

The Club Challenge was awesome, what a great weekend for it and they had a good turn out. Dennis was pleased and I'm glad we went. I met up with Larry Flowers of LA4X4 and several other good folks from other clubs and Jonathan and I received plenty compliments on the work we've done up there. There was some crazy Super Modified rigs up there 700 - 800HP screaming through the trails it was something to see. Didn't get to see the stock mod class Friday but the modified class was won by a CJ7 with minor mods at least to the eye, the only Toyota buggy owned by Bryan placed 2nd with a clean run and never got hung up once. Overall a great experience with several LA Clubs present and I hope we can start making appearances to this event in the future even if no one enters to support the event its good to get out there and meet other good folks in the Off-road community with events like this and good to see them team up and put something like this together. They gave away two sets of axles in the raffle, first event I seen something like that.

Thanks for the pics, those guys put on a show for sure. I like that F-150 they cut 16" out of the middle and VJ's buggy gets it. Hope I can make next year.

Jonathan you can start PB account its free.

Couple things.....

First, I saw a SWEET Green FJ40 with Tan Soft Top in the Berry this past Saturday morning. It had diamond plate on the rear corners, but the diamond plate was painted same color. The guy was pulling into the PepperPlex as I was leaving. If wouldn't have been in a hurry to get home so I could get things together to leave for Alexandria for my second soccer match of the day, I would have turned around and talked with the owner. I was in Big Red and the other 40's driver was quick to wave. Anybody know who that might have been?

Second, I know this will come as no great surprise to any of you, but I won't be able to make SCC this year. Too much going on on the home front. Scott, if you need some ice chests, please let me know I'll get them to you.

A, I'm really really sorry to hear that. Was really hoping you could squeeze it out. No worries, my brother (who has known about the date for a year) had to back out last pm b/c of work

As of now, Landry says he has a large ice chest so I'm hoping to borrow that one. If not, I'll be calling you.

Thanks bud

I would just like to say this. Fiberglass sucks.

In the process of gutting that camper to find all the rot. Good news? Surprisingly little rot in the walls. Bad news? The shower was like 4 sizes to large to get out of the door. Cut it up with a hacksaw to try and keep the fiberglass dust from getting everywhere. My forearms are killing me with the picking and itching.

Damn camper. Once I finally get to sleep in it on a trip I hope it and that trailer are worth it because right now I am thinking I might have been an idiot to think the gooseneck/truck camper was the way to go.

I'm sure that you won't regrett it. Because look at Larry, If he wants to sleep in camper, he can't have 80, if he wants to play, he can be in camper. OR TWICE the fuel cost to get both there.

You on the other hand, Lose a little bit in thr truck, pulling the 4runner, but save all the wear and tear on the runner..

Thanks
Cody

The truck camper on the gooseneck is the way to go, Lenny's setup is nice you'll see his there at SCC. I don't need the camper myself the boy and I are content to camp in the 80 we've been doing that with Scouts and the Club a few years now. It's when my ladies come that it gets complex. My ideal setup would be mounting a fifth wheel camper shell on a 40FT Gooseneck and that's not out of the question in the future but before I go that far I needed to see how they were going to do with the camper and camping.

A FJC owner's rig was stolen today in the Baton Rouge area.
Please keep a lookout for it.

If you spot it, please call the police and then try and get in touch with Mike (bang-bang) or myself.

Here is a description and some pictures.
