HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARRY MARTY AND JUSTIN :cheers::beer::cheers::beer::cheers::beer:

HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE A GREAT DAY AND MANY MORE BIRTHDAYS!

Thanks folks hope ya'll having a good weekend

Well, I got over to visit the guy in Davenport, IA. It's definitely a mini-truck graveyard. He has a lot of parts just kinda sorted into piles. Going over there made me feel like I was on American Pickers and I was looking for Toy parts. I didn't really get much from inside the big warehouse. Although it was lit up, it was still too dark for my phone to get any pictures. But there was enough parts to build many trucks from the ground up. And apparently, there is a friend of his in Milan, IL that has about the same amount of trucks and parts, but they are all Cruisers. Here's some pics from today

There was that one. It has some minor rust around the edges, but it was just surface. It did have a couple of small dings though. He had one that was NIB but he is saving it for that red '80 longbed. The others were 2 handle.

He has quite a few trannies, tcases, and axles as well. The are just in stacks. He also has a shelf full of good heads.

He was trying to sell me an AFM conversion kit for $700 while I was there. LC Engineering has them for $1200. It is new and he said he couldn't tune it to his stroker. Looks like a good setup, but maybe more than I would like to spend.

I didn't pay attention to that too much. I know he has 2 SR5 4Runners there. I was looking at them for the rear split seats and shoulder belts. I can look next time I go.

If you happen to make it over to the other place with all the cruisers, I am looking for a tail gate or rear barn doors with all the hardware. Doesn't have to be in pristine shape or anything........:hillbilly:

Bad news guys....my 4Runner sucks in the snow. I take that back...it just sucks on slick roads but does find out in the yard. Might as well have ice skates on it when it hits the icy pavement. Our minivan does better. I got it road worthy tonight and got it home as a last resort emergency vehicle in this upcoming "storm of the century". I have a long story to tell but I just got home, I am so cold I can't feel my hands, I am tired, and I have to be up in about 5 hours to try to get some work done before the snow starts (we already got 3 inches tonight on top of the 4-5 we already have and are supposed to get 12-15 tomorrow). So, I'll tell my story tomorrow if we still have power when I get home.

Trying to! I'm off to work. Hopefully, I will be home by the time the storm starts. They are expecting it to be here by 3. Now predicting 24+ inches.

Long story short. I wanted to replace a caliper. I first started with a dead battery that took forever to fix. Then I had no clutch. Looks like it has some water in the bowl and the bowl cracked. Then I finally got the brakes taken care of. Went out and barely made it to Oreilly to get a new clutch master. Couldn't get that bled until I finally decided to use an air compressor to push it all out. Then the truck wouldn't start. I wasn't getting fire. One of the nuts on my coil was loose but took me awhile to trace it there. I spent about 6-7 hours working on so that I could get it to my house 30 miles away. I think it's g2g now. My front driver's tire is leaking a lot faster than I thought. Will have to fix that after the blizzard which started about 3 hours too early today. The radio called it the Apocalypse Storm and said it would kill us all. (I assume they mean people without Toyotas)
