I want to make a public Thank You to Larry who yesterday turned over to me the reigns of one beautifully made over 1978 FJ40. Larry was great about selling the 40 to me and working so hard to make it as good as he could when finishing it up. I know all of you already know this, but i'll say it anyway, Larry is truly one of the good guys in the Land Cruiser community. We are all very lucky to have had him be one of the driving forces behind our local chapter from the beginning. The great thing is that he's not the only member that is so active and organized about keeping us a viable chapter and bringing many benefits to our membership. Hopefully, I'll be able to get little more active myself when things calm down with mt children's schedule.

Couldn't agree with you more, Armond! What a group we have here and Larry is one heck of a troop leader.

Thank you for the kind words Armond and the rest of you as well. I'm glad the 40 is in such good hands and with someone that will appreciate it. Plus I can still admire it from nearby. Rebecca said she missed the chance to get Holden and I in 1 last time I told her we could probably work that out with you soon and I'm looking forward to seeing a few pics of it under those nice oaks to add to my album :) We have a great group of people I'm proud to be associated with and would reference each one of you as friends.

Vendors who say they have something in stock and are shipping it as soon as they get payment, then wait two weeks piss me off.

Spent all afternoon getting the alternator off the 4runner, ran out of daylight and am going to have to figure out how to mount the GM adaptor plate tomorrow morning, it uses the same holes as the front two bolts on the motor mounts so I figure I will have to jack the engine up and put the adaptor flush with the block so the alternator is not cocked to one side.

Would have been friggen nice to have had the bracket last hitch so i would not be rushed like this.

Ooo, I've been thinking about doing that. That electric fan pulls some amps now....

Short spelling lesson :

The last four letters in American..........I Can
The last four letters in Republican.......I Can
The last four letters in Democrats.........Rats

End of lesson. Test to follow in November.

Remember, November is to be set aside as
Rodent extermination month

Lookin' Good Under the Oaks

Here's a pic of "Big Red" under the oaks at my property. I took these with my iPhone and know darn well that if we can ll get together out there, Jon could really take some awesome pics. I left the cruiser in the same spot and just walked around it to get different angles with differnt trees in the background. Anyway, here are a few teasers until Jon's return.
