I was in BR all day today. I saw a white 40 at THD on Airline Dr and left a business card for BSLCA on the front seat as it had no top. Looked nice. Is this someone already here?

Sitting on 35 Toyo Mt's with Metaltech cage? That's either Cole or his Dad Dave.

A TRIP TO COSTCO

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog, and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms..

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it
works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again.
(I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me.

I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ass
and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was
laughing so hard.

Costco won't let me shop there anymore...

Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the
world to think of crazy things to say. Forward this (especially) to all your
retired friends......

It will be their Laugh for the day:lol:

I stopped by the Toyota Dealership yesterday for a look at the new Tacoma. Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that new "feel"...
The salesman (wearing an Obama "change" lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat describing the truck and all its "wonderful" options.
The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.
Feeling like messing with his mind, I mentioned that this must be a Republican truck.
Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck.
I explained that if it were a Democrat truck, the seats would blow smoke up your ass year-round.
I had to walk back to the dealership........damn guy had no sense of humor.

I might be going to Mandeville Fri. or leaving Sat. morning. Part ship if you need me to help.

I'll try to get hold of Layton tomorrow to see what we can work out. Worst case is I can bring them to SCC. I hope to see some of the Laf folks before then.

Mike, if you are going through BR this weekend, maybe you and Layton can hook up there. I'll talk to him and let you know.

Well I am sure not doing what I thought I would be dointonight. Brought the uberhund to be spayed this morning, called at noon and said she could be picked up at five. I figured that would be good, rather than wake up at 5am to go pick her up I would just make a second trip. Got her home all is well, step out the shower and she is bleeding all over her bed. At the 24 hour vet BACK in lake Charles again. I have burnt an entire tank of diesel just bringing Cat to gets and picking her up today. The place that spayed her did some kind of adhesive/super glue liquid stitch to close her incision and it has opened all the way back up by the time I got her to the e. R. Now the are putting some reall stitches in but she will have to be put on antibiotics since her abdominal was open nluckily thu had only closed tue skin with the glue s*** and her abdominal wall was stitched and held. I am not a happy camper ATM but the original vet is picking up the bill atleast. Will give an update to any concerned in the morning.

I hope it all goes well. I have had nothing but bad experiences with vets. The last diagnoses cost me around $400. I told the vet what the problem was on my first visit. After 3 visits and $400 he agreed. I am no longer in his Rolodex.
