I don't know if I am going to buy HP again after my last laptop. I bought one in 2005 and it's still going strong today. I bought another one in 2007 and I have had 2 batteries stop charging for no apparent reason and a couple of months ago, the wireless card died. A replacement was too expensive, so I just added a USB adapter. Also, I had to get replacement RAM before the warranty was up and the RAM had to be replaced again right after the warranty was up. I went with Corsair Value Select the second time and it is still performing as expected.

I don't see how the quality dropped so much in 2 years. The one I bought in '05 even went to Iraq with me where it was ran off of generators and had to be disassembled and cleaned multiple times due to dust storms.

I bought my HP laptop in June '06 and it's still going strong. I've taken it offshore and to dusty land jobs and it's always help up. I hope yours was just a fluke because I was sure planning on getting another when it's time for a new one.

One thing I thought I was being a sucker on was buying the extended warranty from BestBuy for ~$300. It paid off last October though. The screen had started to dim, and a couple of keys got popped off of the keyboard by an overzealous 13 year old, but I just brought it back to Best Buy and a week or so later it was back home with a barand new screen and keyboard.

Looking for pictures of that land rover from the Musson Toyota event from a few years ago to share with a coworker who really loves rovers. I've looked through Photobucket and couldn't find that event. If someone has some pictures or links, I'd appreciate it.
This is one I have
TIA!

Thanks, I appreciate it! He doesn't own one yet, looking to buy a late model rover later this year. We have a couple cruiser owners in the office to try to convince him differently before then ;)

Sorry Jason forgot to look for those pics will try again. Certainly convince him towards the cruiser he'll be much happier as will his wallet.

I'm sure he'd comply I could work with his sister to help us work it out. What are you thinking rattle can paint job? Sounds like a good job for a March wrenching session :) Matt can lay down some spray as can Paul so a Qt of some rustoleum OD green should be inexpensive.
