Usually making comments on (:princess: at BWW) get me in trouble with my :princess:. :grinpimp:

Nice pics of the air show Scott. I like the 5th pic.
That turbine bike was made by Marine Turbine Technologies. My friend Garren financed the making of that bike. Most of the bike parts were hand machined. They get turbines from the military after so many hours the military doesn't use them anymore. They also have some turbine air boats. Same guy who put those Mat Tracks on my 60. Did you get to hear the bike run and see the way it flexes when you rev it up because of the insane power?

the turbine powered s10 was awesome, his shop is in the port of west st mary(my parish). i used to sell him parts for his trucks at autozone.

Whats amazing to me about that statement is that it runs well on Autozone parts  I didn't see that one. The design is better on that model of the turbine bike the original design had the exhaust running under the seat like the one I was behind in Broussard. They said it was melting the rear light assembly

Probably was the first bike I was talking about and not the one in the pics Scott posted. The one I was talking about was made about 8 to 10 years ago. Same company though. Turbines are just awesome. I am not sure of the electronics that run the turbine but when they were making the fist one it was explained to me that there are {three chips}(for lack of proper terminology) and they had to use the less powerful of the three so the bike could be rode and you wouldn't be thrown off. It decreased the power by like 300% VS the power chip.

Would not work well in a cruiser. You would have to wait forever for it to spool up and on the trails you need instant response.;)

I'm sure Corey could school us a bit. He works on the electonics for Solar Turbines. :)

The airboat was there and used for firefighting... the bike spooled up... it was insane.

Jay Leno bought the first bike by the way..

The bike was also featured in popular science mag. The turbine air boats were originally designed for rapid response to areas like LAX airport where if a plane crashed( mud flats off of the runway) you could get a quick response to the crash site. Very cool stuff. Way to go Southern Louisiana for being on the cutting edge!

The air boat was a beast... retractable wheels etc...

Sorry I don't have a better pic.

Voted> in a long @ss line that took 1 1/2 hrs but I placed the winning vote and got the sticker :D. I hope the BO supporters took the day off like he asked them to do and votes tomorrow. :D

well the problem with that is that most of them don't work so they didn't have to take off.

Socialism Sucks!!!
