Decided to get into the macro world. I took these over the last couple of days. The "depth of field" is only .3 cm at 1.1 focus so that is why the whole subject is not in focus. If anyone knows what the hell they are doing please feel free to comment and offer up any help. None of these photos are photoshoped or Zoomed. Some of the backgrounds look kinda fake to me but it is just the lens.

I just found this site that has hacked firmware for certain Canon digital cameras that allow you to do some really cool stuff including: Lightning photography, RAW, HDR, HDR Mosaic, Unlimited DOF, Timelapse movies, and High-Speed Shutter & Flash-Sync.

Thanks, it is a Canon and that will come in handy once I figure out what I am doing. I have photoshop Cs2 but have not shot in RAW yet. I may try and shoot RAW today and see what happens. The hardest part for me is holding the camera steady and in the realm of my depth of field and focal point. Using a Tripod is just too hard when you have to crawl, bend, and lay down for these shots. These few pics are the result of about 200 shots. I take it you are into photography.

Yes Larry. I got a new toy. I have been waiting a long time for this and I finally took the plunge. Does anyone need some bore scope shots of their cylinders?:D
 
yeah photography is something I've wanted to get into, sort of like getting my cruiser(s) running....

That was worth watching and almost made it 3 returns if he didn't trip himself up with those tricky ricky moves. If was a good effort.

Larry...no offense to your brother, but I can't have sympathy for him. Try being a season ticket holder for the Houston Texans since day one...going to 90% of every game they have ever played at Reliant Stadium...being at the game this weekend and having a 17 point lead with ONLY 4 minutes left in the game, and against the Colts!!! Only to lose by 4 points! From sheer excitement to shock to disgust all in 2 minutes and 11 seconds...

And to make it worse...I'm going back this Sunday for some more torture!

Sorry you didn't get to enjoy the end result bud they sure played a great game up until the last 5 mins. I hope you at least got to drink a few while enjoying the first 3 Qtrs. I watched that game and I can sure understand your disgust. I'm a Colts fan and they didn't deserve to win that one.
