We're getting off to a fast start in 2014 our Annual Crawfish Boil will be held Saturday March 22nd at Lake Fausse Point State Park, Pavilion 1 from 10a.m. - till you've had all the fun you can stand :D Same place we've had it the last few years. Some of us will be making a weekend of it and camping for the weekend and ALL are welcome to join us :) As all previous years we'll ask everyone to bring something to contribute to the outing whether it be chips & dip, desserts or sides dishes it always seems to workout. Of course its BYOB so bring a chest with your choice of beverages ;) This is always one of our best non-wheeling outings of the year because the whole family can participate and enjoy the day and we hope to see you ALL out there  Event on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/638375602876180/ Note: For the first time since we've been doing this our crawfish season looks bleak at the moment so if the prices and size are unacceptable we will look to do a fish fry instead. Of course we'll have burgers and dogs for the kids and non-seafood eaters. Please give us a head count of those in your family that will be attending so we can make sure we plan accordingly :)

You posted the boil is the 20th in MUD. The Facebook post is correct.

We have had only two responses to the head count :-(

For those wanting to camp with us check out those camp sights they're going fast :)

We'll be staying within the first 10 sites because its closest to the pavilion when hauling the supplies.

Anyone else get a campsite for the weekend? I had a non-wheeling friend call and he said they were all booked up.

No plans on camping , schedule is heavy but will be there to hang out that day :)
Will have to bring the bikes ride around the park a little .

Sounds great Albert glad to hear you'll get to spend the day :) looking forward to it

So far I have a head count of 14 that's a record low turnout but we'll pass a good time whether it's 5 or 50 :) Cheers!

I can't make it this year. I have been working on a Chippendale fence at my house. The home owners association is on me to finish.

Sorry to hear bud :( hope the weather cooperates and you get it done :)

As discussed at the meeting yesterday with the way the crawfish is running small and expensive we're gonna switch gears and do a fish fry with jalapeno hush puppies from Guidry's Catfish in Breaux Bridge. Many of you sampled some of this product we did them at one of the SCC events and also at Paul Kegley 's once or twice and its some good eating. Tina Credeur and Matt are helping us with that and we sure appreciate it. Of course we'll have hot dogs for the kids and non fish eaters. I forgot to mention it yesterday but if each family can pitch in one dessert, appetizer or side we'll have plenty to keep everyone happy and it always works out. Looking forward to seeing everyone and have a good week :)
