Is your PCV valve shot?
Everything looks okay, that breather's supposed to be removed.
Maybe explaining what we're looking at might help.

All I'm seeing is you need a new PCV and grommet... *shrug*

That's not a big deal, get a new grommet before you try to pull any of that apart, it will come out in pieces...

Unless there's something wrong with your PCV valve I would not mess with anything there...

pull your pcv and shake it. if you can hear and feel it working it's all good.
