Broken moon roof

[876 Cruisers]

A few years back I had parked under a coconut tree and one fell and broke the moon roof. I got it tinted so it wouldn't leak and ever since I've been trying to find a replacement but cant seem to find. And the dealer wants almost $1800 usd for the replacement as they say the glass isnt sold alone.

Anyone has any solutions or know where I can get one from?

It's a 1995 kzj70 vx

Sounds like a good reason to do a flip top conversion.

I’d recommend junk yards, or find a sheet metal guy to fabricat an aluminum replacement.

Use your broken one to make a mold of it and fabricate a fiberglass one. Not see-through but still functional.

Or use the mold to heat form some acrylic/polycarbonate into the same shape and size.

Or Flex Tape! I see it will even cover a hole in the bottom of a boat.. And, it's see through.
