I recently had my breaks replaced. they work fine other than when I have to hit them quickly and hard. The pedal is stiff and I have hardly any breaks. The pads and break booster were replaced. Any idea what could cause this?

Might be air in the system. I got the Mityvac MV8000 from Harbor Freight and it allowed me to bleed the brakes by myself. Didn't need the wife... LOL!!!

Booster issue. Check the hose from manifold to booster and check valve.

Is this a reman booster and what brand? Known to get bad boosters as well.

And it's brakes, not breaks.

Yes, this is a common problem when doing brake work, if you use break parts they never work.

Not getting enough vacuum at the booster, bad booster or not bled well?
