If everything is adjusted correctly then heat won't be an issue. If the MC plunger has pressure on it then heat can be an issue. I feel like this post has targeted the area to check but it's hard to see. First thing I would do if my brakes were dragging is stick my head under the dash and wiggle the brake pedal components. Free play is a must.
