Alright guys stupid question my brakes squeal in the front until I use the brakes then it stops and it only does this after I have drove it around for about 20 min. The pads are in good shape quick inspection and my rotors are clean any suggestions or is it just crappy pads thanks a bunch.

My truck does the same!!! It drives me absolutley nuts!!! I'll be driving down the interstate an the front brakes will just start squealing for no apparent reason, sometimes it will be the passenger side, sometimes the drivers side... but, when I apply the brake all the squealing stops. Rotors and pads look great, they are napa pads and shims. I was thinking of changing back to factory pads and shims but I think i'll just wear these dwn first. Any suggestions from anyone would be wonderful!

Thanks

Pull everything apart and use brake grease on all the contact points between the pads and calipers. Just a dab mind you! My guess is that they are just vibrating slightly and squeaking, but when you step on them everything tightens up and quiets down....

I am afraid i am going to have to the squeal is driving me nuts as well hoping that someone had a quick simple fix like a spray or somthing they have sprays for everything else lol.

lol mine squek when i step on the brakes. everything looks good. drives me nuts
