For me, the guy in the video lost credibility when he used and open end wrench to crack the bleeder valve.
I have used an open wrench before, I prefer a box wrench. If you have never bled the brakes on your truck, chances are that the bleed screw is frozen. I put anti seize compound on the bleed screws, they open and close smoothly...
 
The first time I flushed the fluid on my 80 the right rear bleeder was totally frozen. Here's how I was able to break it loose (without breaking the bleeder):

- Clean the area with brake cleaner
- Apply heat to the bleeder with a torch
- Once hot, spray with PB blaster
- Using a standard 6 point socket wrench (no bleeder hose attached yet) try to tighten the bleeder a bit then loosen
- Attach bleeder hose and slide a box end wrench over it, proceed with bleeding


In my case the bleeder wasn't flowing much at all so I ended up removing it and cleaning it out. Next time I plan to replace the bleeders since my current ones aren't in the best shape (probably original).
