Hey guys

My first brake pad change is coming at only 12,000 km which is strange.

Do i get a " warning light " when brake pads are on the low side ? I looked in the owner manual the only sign we get is ABS....

Are the brake pads change pretty straightforward ?

Can it be done easily outside the dealership ? Any sensors that need to be changed ?

I am wondering if Toyota uses the same brake pads for the lC 200 across all parts of the world. One would think yes out of standardization.

The pads are all the same shape/style, different compounds are probably used depending on region.

No warning light on the models I'm familiar with...

Changing them is straight forward.

Thanks a lot

How many km or miles are you getting from the Toyota OEM pads ?

Where i m in Lebanon we have uphills/downhills and lots of city road type driving rather than highway....

Thanks,

Jay

I got 30k out of my first set. Probably could have gone another 5k

High wear rates seem to be somewhat common with heavy use... aftermarket pads might last longer. I run larger brakes, so my wear problem has been reduced significantly.

Changed at 60k miles but could have gone to 65k. Factories seem fine. Replaced with OEM.

Hope that’s correct. BTW I’m at 60,000 miles.
