One of my front headlights and a back tail light have burned out. I have a 24 volt system with a converter in the back (if that makes any diff) and just wondering if any of the 24 volt guys out there know where I can get replacements? Evil is going to help me replace them before I head up north. I was going to leave it till after but Franken60 politely told me that the cops kinda frown on this behaviour...!

Thanks everyone, bringing brownies to the next meet up in January as thanks for everyone's help...might even buy a pitcher for the table ;)

Are the bulbs the same across the board? I pulled the tail lights off my donor body (hj61) and they had bulbs in them (24v). They are technically John's from Radd, but I could ask. They are obviously used and I do not know if they work.

I have no idea what I have for headlights but I do know that if i put 12 volt brakelights from Lordco in, they blow out immediately. PeeZed, I will gladly take used bulbs off of you, let me know if you want some $$ or baked goods.

I did phone toyota re: master/slave units last month....they were not very helpful.

Yeah...Toyota =not helpful. What you need is a valid vin from someones canadian truck to give them,if youre ordering parts you know will cross over.

Or, talk to burnz...

all the small bulbs will be 24v for sure, headlights tho, not necessarily. My 24v Canadian 70 series had 12v headlights which I converted from sealed beam to h4's

my hj61 has 24v from factory ....so you'll have to have a look and see what's in there...

From www.toyodiy.com looks like it's all 24V from the factory (Toyota part numbers below). If it were me I'd call the local jdm parts places like Rocky Mountain Imports (Saanich) and RADD Cruisers (Duncan). I bet they stock this stuff. You could use EBay too, but might be too late to wait for a package in the mail now. There is also a place called 4wheelauto which carries this sort of stuff (Bulb Kit-24Volt 14pc | 4wheel Auto)

Head Lights:

BULB(FOR HEADLAMP, NO.1)
90981-17011 24V 75/70W, HALOGEN WHITE 2 $100.98

SEALED BEAM UNIT, NO.1
90981-06015 24V 75/70W, HALOGEN WHITE SEMI-SEALED BEAM 2 $133.95

Rear Combination Lights

BULB(FOR REAR COMBINATION LAMP)
90981-16015 24V 21/5W 2 $10.08
99134-11250 24V 25W 4 $8.90

I bought that 4wheel auto kit probably ten + years ago. At the time it was pretty reasonable, nice having a bin full of bulbs.

I've restocked it a little bit, but it's servicing it's 4th 24v cruiser now...

I have that same kit. Had it for five plus years now so can't remember what I paid. Handy if you keep it on your vehicle then you don't have to worry about being pulled over while on a long trip

Ya, your front headlights should be 12volters... Everything else 24volt.
