I am going to be changing out a bad booster this weekend on a '96FZJ and want to hear how anyone else has removed the booster, as the intake is in the way. Has anyone removed motor mount and dropped the motor or lifted it one way or the other for clearance? I really don't want to remove the intake but will if it is the easiest way.

I've been lurking on this godsend of a site for the last couple of years and know there is great advice from someone out there. Thanks in advance.

I went out and took a look. I'm not aware of anyone doing this so far and posting pics. I'd just start digging in and do my best to work out a solution. It does look like a tough job.

I've searched here looking for a write up or just a hint on how to weasle that thing out but no luck. I know a few have changed them or have had someone else do it. The used ones go fast in the parting out section. I was going to put a used one in but bit the bullet and bought a NAPA rebuild lifetime warrenty one for $250. If I find the secret I will reveal it.
