Hey Guys,
Prior to having my '04 LC100, I had an "03 4Runner. I had the brake module failure and it cost me about $1500 to get the unit replaced.
Apparently it is the known weak point for Tundra, Land Cruiser and 4Runner from the early 2000s.
Well, over the weekend I noticed a brake fluid leak and felt confident it was the master cylinder failing.
Having already had this experience with the 4Runner, I wanted to go ahead and replace the whole unit.
I went OEM...$1500 later and hoping it will last me another 20 years.
That being said, does anyone want or need parts from my old brake unit? Booster motor, reservoir, ECM, master cylinder is all one piece.
I am possibly going to take it apart and try to find the leak. It has to be reservoir grommets, or o-rings in the master cylinder plunger. Can't think of much else to leak....
Let me know if any one could use some parts!
