hey everyone, just wondering if any of use know where i can get an original snorkel for these?(the ones that look like a keg) or know how to make one?

cheers

Wreckers would be the first option, I think.

That`s what Wotan wrote some days ago in his thread:
"Just ordered a load of spares of the wreckers for 1000Au$. They are taking a HJ45 in almost perfect condition with barely any rust apart here in Australia just because it has a blown engine. :bang: "

or go to "evil bay "Australia
Snorkel Landcruiser 40 FJ40 BJ40 HJ47 (eBay item 190486156770 end time 10-Jan-11 08:48:26 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats

Cheers

yes thats the ones, do you know of a place that sells them?

Truck parts shops sell Donaldson air cleaners. They were never an original item. If you already have the standard air cleaner installed in the engine bay, it's not really worth getting the Donaldson. I have one on the driver's side guard of my HJ 47 only because the original air cleaner was taken out for a 2nd battery. Oh, new Donaldson air canisters are not cheap, I paid almost $300 for mine.:censor:

TJM on South Road in Adelaide has them, but I'm not sure where you are. Try any heavy equipment joint or your local TJM. They are often made by Donaldson.

Cheers,
