OH MY GOD! it was the hood hinges! thank you so much!!!!! wow, never would have guessed.

I had this exact same issue and, while the hood hinges were a bit loose, replacing the little rubber bumpers on the fender aprons cleared it right up. What’s funny is that I had no idea how I fixed at the time, as the bumpers were something I replaced because they needed it, then the noise miraculously disappeared!

I hadnt had those bumpers for at least a year and bought some about 7 moths ago, and they didnt help but the hinge refurb definiely did!!

yes sir, yes it is. the fact that these trucks have been around almost a 100 years in continual real world use means that pretty much any problem anyone has had has been solved and can be solved easily now. that is invaluable. I love it.
