Hey Proffitts! I am hoping you are still getting notices regarding this older post. I too just bought my first (and I hope last!) FJ25 FST. I am just beginning to investigate its issues. Please respond to this post and maybe we can compare notes. Thanks, Rod W. Upstate, NYWell, I added one to the beginning of my collection of Cruisers. It's a 60 Fj25 (although the VIN starts with 9)
I'm excited to get it running and drive it maybe tomorrow. It belonged to the Yankee Boy mine in Ouray, CO for the first 7 years of it's life, and then to the same guy ever since.
It's all OD green, even the frame, does this mean military?
It's all original and seems to be all there but I really don't know much about them yet so let me know what cool stuff to look for.
It came with the OEM top (no canvas though) and one aftermarket soft top with doors that definately fit the rig. Actually, there are 3 sets of doors, although only one set is OEM.
I'm probably going to need some parts if anyone can help. I will buy or trade for other Cruiser parts that you may need. I've got at least one of every year but 58, 59, 61, 81, 82, and 83
I've decided not to part this rig as it's just too cool.
