I bought this primer pump in ebay just to replace mine that was leaking a little .. actually I don't use much as primer coz I have a electric inline fuel pump .. but ya know .. I can't leave it as is ( leaking )

The issue is .. when I install it, found that mine was leaking due to the primer itself was a little loose. So I thought .. well I have new .. run a new.

Surprise ,.. the bosh was leaking frea***** bad .. so I end with the factory one again. ( and it's no leaking right now ).

The question is .. this bosh primer have a lock adjust . .?

Well this is the first time I have heard a complaint of one of these Bosch pumps leaking Tapage. (And I searched the Internet previously on this subject - before deciding to fit one to my BJ40.)

Where exactly does the diesel leak from?

If it leaks from under the plastic cover (that you hold when you pump it) then it is indeed faulty - And I'd send it back for a refund/replacement!

Or was it leaking from around the copper sealing washer?

If you mean - "Can you screw it down to put it in a stow-position" - then the answer is -- "No". It always remains in a "ready-to-use" state. (But it should never leak in this "ready-to-use" state.)

Heck. Sorry to hear that Tapage.

I feel somewhat responsible because my earlier posts imply that these Bosch primers are "simply the best".

(I haven't had any problems at all with the one I fitted and I certainly searched a lot on the Internet before deciding to buy it. And all I saw there - during my searching - were "happy customers" and claims of "better than OEM".)

I guess it may still be "essentially a good product" but perhaps you were simply very unlucky to receive one with a manufacturing fault!

If you can't get a refund or replacement - perhaps you could carefully cut it open and try to see what is wrong with it to cause it to leak. (I would be interested in seeing the photos if you find the cause this way.)

Cheers
Tom

I don't think there is a matter of luck .. ( personal apreciation ) that's not as I planed or hope it function but ba .. it's only a primer ..

Anycase I thought are a good one, but I only pay 20 nucks for mine .. I place a claim in eBay and they gonna send me the DieselCare contact information, so I'm going to call and see what happend.

If I get other primer nice .. if not ... nice too .. the best part it's now my factory primer it's not leaking so I'm not in a hourry ..

yeah sounds like a shady ebay seller dealing in factory seconds or something?? Can't you get Bosch stuff in parts stores in Panama? I got mine in Peru for like $15-$20

Yes sure .. but I'm lazy to drive from one place to another just to ask if they have the right primer to me .. so it's easy to me search and order in internet that actually it's delivered to my door.

Anycase I call ebay and they sendme the contact info of the seller and inmediately get a mail from Diesel Care asking for my address to sendme another primer.
