I picked up a 98 with pretty low mileage, but the trade off was that the body is not in great shape (along with the timing belt and other fundamentals that needed to be addressed at the outset). I already removed the fender flares, some of which were barely hanging on. I’d like to replace the strip of trim that runs the length of the sides some of which is also coming off. Forest question is where to get the part for this. I haven’t been able to find it on partsouq or parts geek.
Second question is more preference. The rear bumper cover has a large dent and I want to replace it. The rear bumper looks to run about $300 unpainted. There are some modular bumpers that interest me but none are less than $1500. What are the pros and cons of replacing and painting with a factory cover vs spending the dime on the off road bumpers.
Key fact Is that I’m not using the vehicle for serious off-roading.
