When should I expect the Gift Card etc.? I renewed a few months early so I could get in on the deal. :flipoff2:

The gift card etc comes from blue ribbon, they process stuff then mail them in batches to TLCA. Not sure the TLCA can answer that question maybe those that have already signed up could answer on behalf of the blue ribbon.

I got my card in the mail within 2 weeks. its already spent

Any numbers on how this program is going, has it been successful for TLCA/BRC? More new members than renewals or more renewals than new members? Just curious. Thanks ahead of time to whoever posts up the stats. :)

More renewals then new members. I really haven't had a chance to breathe as I am slammed with BRC memberships as well as my standard snail mail & on-line transactions daily. I just received a stack of 180 last night from BRC & I am really swamped right now. I'm hoping my inkjet printer doesn't explode on me with all the logo's I print on the ID cards. When I get some time away from processing, I will query the total renewals vs new from BRC, but right now it's 90% renewal, 10% new.

That's great news! Thanks for the update Jenn! And if that inkjet explodes, we want to see pictures! Thanks for all your hard work, it's much appreciated!

Latest word from Casey a week or two ago was 150 in the first month. Between word of mouth, having it prominently displayed on the TLCA web site, posts here and elsewhere on forums, on the newly resurrected LCML, the ad and editorial content in Toyota Trails, and the recent email blast promoting it, it appears to be a huge success!

Most of the credit needs to go to Greg Mumm for coming up with the idea and sticking his neck out on behalf of BRC, and to Casey for bringing it before the board. And a huge thanks to the board of TLCA for approving this initiative.

Lots of kudos to Jennifer (Metalspice) for processing the huge influx of applications. It's been a great team effort, and huge thanks to everyone involved!

The majority of renewals are from members who are just extending their already current memberships. My only concern is that revenue will be down the following year(s) since we won't have those renewals coming in.

Thanks for the report Jennifer!

The models I ran assumed that the case would be primarily renewals (most of the runs I did assumed a 75/25% split between renewing versus new memberships). In running the models, I counted an expired member now renewing as if they were a new member for budgetary impact analysis.

The issue of extending current memberships is something I brought up several times in the past and needs to be addressed in our budget models for this year and years to come.

A renewal extension today brings in cash today, but then the member does not need to renew in the coming year. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something that needs to be taken into account when planning for cash flow. That is something we have never done in the past, and has contributed greatly to our tight belt this past year. The last query I ran on this several months ago showed that about 1/4 of our membership were paid up for more than a year.
