I have a loud fan due to replace, anyone have a deal on a replacement part (OEM)?
My rear fan started being "loud" last week all of a sudden. Is there a cause for this?

Additionally, aside from the louder noise, functions perfectly fine. Is this a sign of failure, or if I can leave with the noise, it is fine?

There isn't a filter before the fan intake, other than the grate built into the interior panel. Most likely it's a leaf or something else that got sucked into that intake..

Appreciate the help.

That makes sense.

Where is the fan intake as far as the exterior of the car goes?

Any idea how difficult is to open this thing to look? It isn't an emergency, as we are not really running the rear air , but I would like it quiet before spring.

Always thank you for the help.

It's interior. Open your hatch and look to the left interior panels behind the wheel well hump. There are some slots molded into the panel there and that's the rear fan intake.

Unfortunately getting to the fan intake means pulling the whole interior panel..

Ah ok, got it! Will have to see how difficult it is to pull that off to view inside.
