Black Wheels (1 Viewer)

OEM FJ60 wheels are 15 X 6. I have 15 X 8 wheels with the correct backspacing, so what's the consensus on tires, 33 X 10.5, 33 X 12.5 or even 35's for all around driving (i.e. mostly as a daily driver)?

No joke, I hate those "pin" stripes.
I'm tempted to order them raw and have them powder coated flat black.

Just get the FJ60.com wheels. They will fit with no problems. I have them. Jeff Sharpe (FJ60.com owner) had them custom made for 60-series wagons and test fit them on his own truck. You are supporting a small Cruiser-specific vendor if you buy from Jeff, and you will get excellent service, well worth the few extra $. I have spoken.


BTW: You can't see the red and blue stripes if your wheels are properly dirty, as Cruiser wheels should be.

Yep, I swaped to 4.11's out of a 80 series, whats REALLY scarry, one of the sets came from Junks 80!!

I have tried at times to save dollars by going with off the wall stuff, or going the long way to get something. Usually it turns out better and a lot easier to just spend the extra bucks and be done with it and have it back on the road.

Just to clarify, are you happy with running 35 X 12.5s or 33X 10.5s on your truck on 8" rims? I have 32 X 11.5 at this time, but will need new tires real soon. If you've tried them both, which do you prefer?

I run 35x12.5's on 8" wheels on my fj45 and fj80, like em both.

Run 33x10.5's on 8" wheels on my fj60, like em

Run 33x9.5's on 6" wheels on 82 fj40, 82fj40 and 90 fj62, like em

got some 32x11.5's on 8" on the 55, they are OK, but old and free

No WAY would I go to 10" rim of any of them. Never had a problem with 8" wheels

So yeah a 12.5 on a 8" wheel is the way to go IMOP........anyone else feel different? speak up please.
