Anyone planning on going to the Black Hills this year? I do know the Asher's, Olson's, Rob and Mike & Peggy are going from the TAC family and was curious if any other club members may be heading north. We'll be heading up on the 11th and staying on spot 52 through the 19th. It's going to be a great time and the weather should be much nicer than the heat wave we've got going here in KS.

I'm in. Going up on the 15th coming home the 19th. Taking 2 or 3 40's and 3 to 10 people.

Gary

That's awesome. Are you bringing Emma and your brother? (his name escapes me)

Camping or RV? When I reserved our site they had all but two open which was quite a surprise.

Emma is coming with me. Mybrother David is bringing a 40 and a kid, my brother Doug is bringing a 40 and some kids. Should be quite a few and a good time.

We are just going to tent camp and I did not even call the place I just figured there would be room.

Do you think I shoudl call and reserve tent space?

Gary

mom, mike and I are not going to make it, hopfully next year

That sucks. We'll be thinking about you guys though.

Nah, probably not necessary. I just reserved last week and it was nearly all open. I do know there are 8-10 folks from Rising who are planning on making it but there should still be plenty of space. I have a feeling it may be another light year due to the economy despite cheap gas.

Need anything from Wichita we can bring along?

I can't think of any Wichita items. I am focusing on simplification and have issued a moritorium on purchasing anything that does not directly go toward finishing an existing project. We were supposed to bring a new rock cruiser for this event but did not get it done.

Thanks for the offer.

We just returned home tonight arount 9:30. I will work on some photos tomorrow? We had a blast, great rock crawling, great weather and of coarse the fun and friendly people. It was really great to see some of our old friends from all over the country and met some new ones also. We had a few rain storms in the night that were hard on the tent campers. Sweat shirt weather in the evening and sunny days. We really missed you wll who could not make it.

to those who have yet to post up a picture of BHCC. You know who you are. We continue to wait patiently for our moment of living vicariously through you.

That is all. ;p

I took my camera and did not take a single picture. I ran Iceman (never changes), Bikini (wow, big pucker factor and was really a big guy trail), and Jake (ran a new top section I had not done before). THe trails were great the only change I would make is to have run Hal Johns the first day instead of Iceman. Chris, we would have had a blast!
