Hello,

The speedo cable in my BJ74 broke tonight.
Just wondering what the part number is.
I am also curious as how much one will cost.

Thanks,
Nick.

pn# 83710 90k06 for Manual Tran
pn# 83710 90k07 for Auto Tran

Doesn't look like it crosses over to any NA models. These numbers are for the whole assbly. Should try the local cruiser dudes to see if anyone is parting out bj74's, ie G&S.

Later

I emailed G&S but have not heard back. (Its only been a day, so I am sure I will hear back).
But does anyone else know where I can get one?

Thanks,
Nick.

Try Dan @ 4wheelauto.com. Last time I needed a cable for my 60 he sent me an aftermarket one...about 10 inches longer than stock but properly routed with no kinks it works fine.

Ive been using a $25 aftermarket Hilux cable in my 73 series for 4 years now and it still works great.

I think lots of Toyota cables will fit if they are long enough

I paid $49 for one. At first I thought it was alot, but when I realised the one for my mini truck was $35, its not to bad, for being a non toyota north american part. I can live with that.

I probably could of spent some time figuring out if a early 80 or 90's toyota pickup cable would of worked. But for an extra $15 its not worth my time.

I will take some pics of it (the ends) and measure it. Then perhaps, if someone else ever breaks one they can match it up.

Cheers,
N.
