Very nice work .......:)
Your Cruiser could actually survive the average Walmart parking lot. :D

I can assure you, this truck has never, nor will it ever be seen in a walmart parking lot. Maybe a home depot, or princess auto, but never a walmart!! :D

Didn't mean to insult you....... :D

That flat roof rack of mine would howl on the highway.
As part of my Utah prep I had an air foil ( 3/16" alum 52 "x 7" tigged onto my roof rack which ends below the roof line slightly in front of the windshield.
I took it out briefly on the highway and howl seems to be gone. I can report back after the Canyonlands trip on the noise and front economy effect.

Was the crossmember cut to allow for the receiver hitch?

No, it doesn't extend past the inside face of the bumper, so the crossmember wasn't touched. Also, I welded bolts which go through the upper two holes in the middle of the cross member so its attached there, two on the bottom, and the three bolts at each side of the frame for a total of 10 bolts holding the rear bumper on.

Hey Glenn, I found that my rack (similar construction to this one) is okay for noise unless I open the sunroof, which of course the 74 doesn't have. I put a wind deflector on mine. Phil will have a boat on his most of the time.

Mine is way quieter with the deflector on it though.

Finally had some time to throw the boat up top and it fits like a glove. Awesome work Jason!!!!
