I am looking at a 1987 bj74 and I am wondering about BC inspection rules. Does a manual of that year need a neutral safety switch on the clutch? What about the windshield dot as1 or 2 or e code? Did the canadian bj70 have neutral switches on the clutch?

Iv got an 89 BJ74 that passed a BC inspection (that being said I was NOT the person who imported it) It already had a DOT windshield, and does NOT have a neutral "safety" switch... a little electronic components as possible, thats my motto!

Headlight lenses, reflectors, and potentially DRL... thats it as far as I know...

DRL's I think would only be applicable if a car that was originally sold over here in that particular model year required them. My 89 BJ74 didn't seem to require them to pass, but then again I don't have reflectors either. As for that neutral switch, my old CDN 85 BJ70 did have it.

My 83 BJ60 (Canadian) didn't have a neutral switch...
