Does anyone know the AC capacity of an 86 BJ74 with a 13B-T? AC shop can't find specs for it...

Mine does.Well, LandCruisersDirect had a local shop do the conversion after they imported it. The only reason I lost refrigerant is because the diesel vibrations cause a couple fittings to vibrate loose (and they found a bad o-ring on another fitting). So it should hold this time! Do you think being over by the .75 lbs will reduce cooling efficiency? It'll prolly leak out anyway....Mine does.
Thank you for those specs. I was stranded at the AC shop when they asked me the capacity and had no way of accessing my tech manual...The manual shows 1.4 to 1.7 lbs charge for an empty system
Agreed. They said that R134 was 3/4 of the R12 capacity. They charged it with 1.35 lbs of R134 which appears to actually be close to being on the money... (Whether accidentally or not) Should actually be 1.275 lbs max, but I'm having to wonder how much difference the .75 lb would make?

I was just rereading my post and saw the mistake... You're right 0.075 is an infinitesimally small difference... Should be spot on. Wish the 134 cooled as well as the R12 did...You are actually talking .075 LB difference (a little over an ounce). There could be that kind of variation between individual machines. I think you are fine..
On the other hand, if it blows up my post will self-destruct.....![]()
