BJ73 windshield gasket problem

I am having a problem installing a new rubber gasket around my windshield. It is so tight that I cannot get it around the last corner. I am afraid of forcing it and breaking the windshield. Any suggestions?

How have you installed it? Did you use the "Wrap around a cord and pull the seal into place" method?
Haven't personally used it but have watched the glass installer do it several times on my toy.

Solved the problem, I had to let the rubber sit out in the sun to soften it up. Heated it up to 130 degrees, it then went right on around the glass.
