Speedometer also not working

Obviously check that the cable isn't severed first. Then check that the needle registers when you hook a drill up the back of the speedometer cluster. The more common problem will be that the odometer will not work but the speedometer will (often turning at the tenths digit on the odometer but never turning over the respective kilometre), but that's often a fairly easy fix outlined on Mud in many places involving cleaning and lubricating.

How bad is the '84? Is it a parts rig for the '81? If it's complete then this will be a great benefit for making the '81 perfect. Would love to see more pictures of both.
