Hi all, I'm pretty new around here so please forgive any ignorant offenses I may commit
I'm looking to sell my 1984 BJ42 LX. I'll have work out how to post pics but for now I'll list the good and the bad. I'll shoot for pics in the next post.
The bad.
Aluminium radiator with original shroud missing
Recent closed door respray (in original "freeborn red") is not the best paint job I've seen but looks clean.Pics will show
Crack in middle crash pad vinyl
Drivers seat has tear in fabric and inner foam needs restoration
Inner roof lining is missing, needs replacement.
Floor vinyl is gone and replaced with marine carpet.
No air con. Not missing, just not optioned on this one.
The good.
Engine runs incredibly well
New power steering box has just been installed.
Mechanically everything works exactly as it should
Fabric in rear and passenger seats are in very good condition
New tyres
No rust. Areas of rust were cut and re-welded before spray job
Apart from the respray and radiator, all parts are original.
Highway diffs
Fiberglass roof
Most hinge bolts replaced with stainless steel.
It has all the usual LX options, 5 speed, zebra fabric seats (6x), 3wipers, internal trim but does not display the LX badges.
Odometer reads 266xxx km but it stopped working October last year.
After looking st others for sale I'm not too sure what price to put on it so I'll say $22K but happy to take any feedback from others who know their stuff more than me.
I'm in Sydney Australia and of course, happy to help with shipping arrangements to any O/S buyers.
