I am not excited about this sale but for financial reasons I need to sell it. I purchased this truck as a project for the purpose of using it as a daily driver and trail rig. It is not perfect as it some flaws but it would make a great daily driver or trail rig as were my intentions.
I have invested approximately $35,000 into the truck and would like to get $18,000 for it and the additional parts that I have but not installed. I am happy to answer any questions you have, just ask. I will also Consider Offers, I may consider partial trades for an FZJ80, but financially I cannot trade straight up. I have additional pictures if you want to see something specific just ask, and I will get it for you(send me your e-mail). I will try to describe it the best I can but I am will probably miss something, so please ask questions.

The Flaws/Needs
It could use a paint job, it has some cracking and bubbling. It had a two tone paint job two different greens inside and out. I lined the Tub so it took care of most of the inside.
The Tub is not perfect it has had some patching done on the floor in the front and in the back. There is some fabrication done to the wheel wells in the rear, Who knows? The truck was imported out of Costa Rica by the person I purchased it from. The welding repairs and fab work were done there. That said the tub is very solid and I planned on using as long as I could, considering I planned to use it for what it was.
Both fenders in my opinion should be replaced, I have two good fenders off of a 1972 that are in great shape I intended to use them myself, they come with it.
The Turn Signals did not work when I got the truck, I have replaced some of the wiring and had them working for short periods of time but keep blowing the flasher fuse. A simple fix I am sure. I did not like the factory turn signals so I had the turn signals mounted in the bumper in the front and intended to keep the fenders smooth.
UPDATE 12/29/09 I fixed the Turn Signals. I replaced some of the wiring to the tail lights and cleaned and rewraped the whole harnnes to the rear lights, checked the grounds, and replaced the flasher fuse. So it is all in good working order.
The 4 wheel drive does not seem engage at the front axles, I have never had it wheeling so not real sure. I did not bother with it yet as I planned to replace the transmission and transfer case with an H55F set up I purchased.
UPDATE 12/29/09 I am looking into the 4 wheel drive. So far I have found that the the transfer case is engaging and turning the drive shaft to the front axle. When driving I can feel that the gearing is different between 4 high and 4 low, I feel confident the T.Case is engaging correctly. I pulled one of the front hubs off and could see that it appears to be packed full of grease which may not be allowing it to engage. I am going to go through a few tests here in the next few days to try and determin if the hubs are the problem. What I suspect is that the hubs will need to be cleaned and rebuilt or replaced and the front 4x4 should engage. The rear turns engages no problems.
2/1/2010 Replaced aftermarket hubs with Aisin hubs. 4wheel drive works.
I just put MAF 2.5 inch spring lift on it but it sits a little low in the front, I intended to install a Shackle Reversal to even it, I believe this would lift the front closer to level.
The wiper motor just quit. I have not even looked at it yet.
UPDATE 12/29/09 I fixed the Windshield Wipers, the motor was fine. I cleaned all the fuse contacts in the the fuse box, replaced a few questionable fuses. Cleaned the plugs on the Wiper Switch and Wiper Motor. Also replaced some of the old bolts with new. working good now
Does not have a heater or AC, but I have an New Vintage Air heater for it just not installed.
Parts Included but Not Installed
H55F Transmission and Transfer Case Used, Comes with rebuild kits for both Trans. and T. Case. To complete the install it comes with: New Clutch, Bearing Retainer, Fine Spline Hand Break Drum and Special machined nut to attach it, and Rear Transmission Mount.
Factory Power Steering Set up: (3B Power Steering Pump and Bracket, Harmonic Balancer (double pulley), Tensioner Pulley and Bracket, and Factory Power Steering Box, “just needs lines”. I purchased most of these parts from 4Wheel Auto In Canada, they said this set up should work on a B Diesel.
Turbo Manifold and Rebuilt Nissan Turbo
Font bib, Hood, Fenders, off of a 1972
Full hard top with new Seal needs work paint and assembly
Ambulance Doors and Front Hard Doors.
I am not interested in selling any of these parts separate at this time. In the event I do not sell the Landcruiser I would like to keep the parts for my own build.
