BJ 74 roof rack mount solutions (1 Viewer)

Can anybody give me a good length x width on there roof rack. I’ve had front runner racks in the past and love them, so trying to find the the right fit for the BJ74 FRP top. They cannot custom make me one due to the way the gutters are set up.

I ordered the Front Runner 80 series tall kit yesterday figuring it will fit nicely on my LJ73. I'll let you know how it turns out when it arrives. They would not make me a custom one either, even though I'm going to put Thule gutters on the FRP top for added support.

I had a front runner rack on my Jeep Cherokee in the past so I have a lot of the mounting accessories for it. Absolutely loved the rack. Please keep me updated brother . I was also looking at the specs on the Toyota Prado they look pretty close to the size of the roof.

This is how the 80 kit looks mounted. It’s low only has about 2 mm clearance in the center with the 155mm legs and 6mm spacer. I’m going to add another 6 mm spacer I think.

I have mounted it temporarily using only 4 legs as I plan to put some Thule artificial rain gutters for extra strength on the FRP top.

For me the size looks and feels perfect.
