hello the maniac and fan 45 serie


i have buy a french BJ 45 135 000 km 1984

this is the last europeen 40 serie
this model is full option (for the age)

disc brake (just a front)
Assisted steering
Heating at the rear
Opening hood from the inside
Defog windows Side
etc etc

The body is in very bad condition
Difficult to repair.
The engine (3B 3.2 l) is broken, the rest is in good condition

The project is to rebuild pick up double cabin to traverse the united state by road 66 and to finish rubithon in 2009
I visit the California and participated in rubithon 2007
I loved my first trip, I look forward to returning

Neat! Nicely optioned too - the power steering is quite a rarity.

I was surprised at the 'rear heater' console and the bucket seats. Do the bucket seats attach properly front and rear? I ask, because I know that swapping out the bench seat for the passenger side bucket seat requires opening up the floor to locate the seat rail mounting point for the bucket - I was wondering if the rear heater and buckets were added by the previous owner or if they are actually a factory install?

Could you take a picture of the VIN tag? I'd be interested to see the specifications.

The double cab conversion is a good idea - how do you plan to go about it? I hope you post pictures of the rebuild here on the forum.
