Are you sure it is a Longfield? I assume you just have the birfield and no inner axle right?

Correct on the Long, and not more than 2000 miles. Needed a birf quickly. Decieded to stay OEM on both sides because of 1993 drive plates.
Mind you the newer birfs will work but you need to McGiver a spacer and silicone your dust cap.

Squash, you are welcome, thanks for the verification on the birf. I kind of am in the same situation with a 93 and getting new plates and another longfield when mine are not all that bad an what I really need are new spindles and a new front hub I just discovered was bad. So she sits for now. Not my DD so not a big deal right now.
