Bringing this thread back up from the dead. I'm looking for a Bilstein Damper for my 1971 40. I don't see one offered by Man A Fre anymore. Does anyone know if part number 33-174525 fits? Or are additional parts needed to adapt it to the idler arm? Do I need to buy tapered bolts to make it fit? Any idea which ones?
Have you called ManaFre? The pic above I took fits, but you need to make sure its the style that does not mount to the steering bars below the frame (there was a difference with older FJ40's). Just give them a call to see if it is something you can special order.
